The Pigsty

Brand Identity / Logo / Web / Digital Marketing / Social Media

The Pigsty is Winchester’s first luxury glamping cabin BnB. Commissioned by Sam and Min Burge from Vale Farm in Winchester, the bespoke wood and steel-clad structure was designed and built by Boon. The new venue needed a brand identity, website and promotion to introduce it as a new attraction to the city of Winchester.

An open brief was lead by the structure’s informal moniker, ‘The Pigsty’, fondly named after its domed-shape roof. Engagement online was important for the client, creating a hype around the opening date for bookings. It was important that residents and local businesses in Winchester understood what The Pigsty was and how it had come to be, so as to ‘hit the ground running’ when open for business.

A social media and subscription following of 1,200+ combined was accrued before The Pigsty was officially open for business, with high engagement from residents and Winchester businesses. A waiting list of bookings was secured before the opening date, with the first 6 weeks quickly filled. Engagement was further supported by local bloggers, who were chosen to enforce the narrative of The Pigsty as a ‘local getaway’.
